Participants: A. Aksoy, F. Antoniou, K. Elsener, B. Jeanneret, E. Marin, J. Pfingstner, L, Rinolfi, D. Schulte, J. Snuverink, F. Stulle, A. Vivoli D. Schulte official news: - The procedure to publish internal notes and reports will be reorganized. - The list of plenary talks at the CLIC workshop is complete, the program for the working groups is progressing. An invitation e-mail will be send around soon. - Discussions about a collaboration with China are on-going. - In Early September the CSC will discuss the work program up to end 2010. - Next Wednesday beam physics and RF will have a joined meeting to discuss DB acceleration issues. Starting time is 15:00. - On Monday there was a discussion with J. Osborne (GS/SEM) about the layout of the RTML, the possibilities to move the vertical transfer to another position and the cost impact. F. Stulle presented a scheme to prevent energy jitter induced by the booster linac from converting into a phase jitter at the entrance of the main linac. The basic idea is to have a momentum-dependent path length in the turn around loop which compensates the phase shift induced in the BC2 chicane. Afterwards it was discussed how the performance would change if the compensation would not be perfect. A concern is that the momentum-compaction factor of the turn around loop would have to be tunable.
