Participants: Jim, Stefan, Frank, Francisca, Bobby, Clara, Oliver, Manuel, Laura, Piotr, André, Wayne
1) Cooling and Ventilation Component
Laura presented the CaV component which is available in the FW release 2.3.7 and is used by several sub-detectors already. Her slides are available with these minutes.
There were a few points raised:
- It was requested to create the poll group automatically.
- TS/CV will be requested again to provide the UNITs in the SCY file.
- Oliver will check with TS/CV whether commands sent in the period where these are not allowed are queued (bad) or ignored (good) and whether the period of invalidity is per system.
- Oliver to investigate whether the size of the trend chart can be selectable in some way.
- Wherever possible the variable names (plant and loop) should be proposed based on the current position in the DEN.
- Frank asked whether it would not be better to have a philosophy where the data is self describing in the PLC rather than going via the SCY file, ala TS/EL. Manuel believes that the TS/CV people would not have the time to work on this at the moment.
- Piotr noted a problem reading the SCY file on a Linux machine.
- In general the SCY files are passed from TS/CV to the cooling people within the sub-detector.
2) Magnet Component
Laura presented the Magnet component which is available as a prototype release 0.2. Her slides are available with these minutes.
There were a few points raised:
- What happens during a silent installation? It is possible to configure the experiment and DU parameters after installation too. However, maybe the default should be without the pop-ups.
- Laura was asked to see if the FLOATs could be displayed better, e.g. with a maximum number of decimal places.
- It was agreed that the invalid bit of the DIP data should be handled within the DU.
3) A.o.B.
It was agreed that a JCOP Project Team meeting should be organised to pass on the gather knowledge of differences between the development in 3.1 and 3.6.
There are minutes attached to this event.
Show them.
