Coding Meet-Up for Programming Interviews
This meet-up is a space to talk about job prospects after CERN in the computer programming and computer science fields. We share personal experiences and learning concepts about data structures and algorithms, with a focus on job interviews. Nowadays, big software companies have established a focus on data structures and algorithms in their interview questions for selecting candidates, which are concepts typically studied in University to get a computer science degree.

Lessons learnt from Oracle CERN openlab HackZurich 2018
With more than 500 participants, HackZurich is the biggest hackathon in Europe. This year, in the framework of the CERN openlab collaboration with Oracle, we had the opportunity of taking part in this great event proposing a challenge for the hackers: develop a "CERN Open Days Virtual Guestbook". In this presentation the CERN openlab team will share with you their experience and will show you the results of this fantastic collaboration.

Workshop accessibilité : Utiliser l’approche de design thinking pour développer du contenu avec nos visiteurs aveugles et malvoyants
Chaque année, 150 000 visiteurs se rendent au CERN pour découvrir nos lieux de visites et d’expositions. Parmi ces visiteurs, certains sont en situation de handicap visuel. Or, aujourd'hui, tout le contenu n’est pas accessible : comment assurons-nous l'accès au contenu pour les visiteurs aveugles et malvoyants ? Durant le « workshop accessibilité » organisé à Ideasquare, le 3 et 4 décembre 2018, en collaboration avec l'Association pour le Bien des Aveugles et malvoyants à Genève, des équipes multidisciplinaires travailleront sur cette problématique. Un des sujets de travail sera l’accès au contenu textuel. Alors si vous êtes curieux, que la technologie vous passionne et que vous parlez français, venez nous aider à répondre à cette question.
