      Welcome VIRGO ! 15m

Our meeting time is in conflict with VIRGO outreach meeting. We will stick to early morning (for the Japan) but look for another day.

Interferometer activity:  Chiara (CMS) is writing a documentation for the "low cost interferometer" that she brought to Split. Very exciting topic to be followed up with Martin (LIGO) and Livia (VIRGO).

IPPOG & ATLAS feedback wrap up 5m

Michael (CMS) gave a talk on art@CMS and its evolution to http://ippog.org/ . Well received.

Claire (ATLAS) summarised the feedback of the ATLAS week, where ORIGIN was presented for the first time. It is important to stress that we are building a very flexible network were all partners keep their identities, and work sometimes together... sometimes independently. She will "sing the same song" at the upcoming LOG (LHC Outreach Group) meeting.

See slide attached, which defines the "brainstorming", "workshop", "panel" and "event". The location for Michael's "brainstorming" is discussed and defined.

      • Despina (ALICE) confirms that her Tokyo colleagues were warned by ATLAS their colleagues, the information flow works.
      • Chiara (CMS) is part of the Higgs Coupling conference advisory committee and will follow up with Sara and conference organisers: flyers could for example be put on the registration table ? Event mentioned in the program ?
      • Yuri (ATLAS art science guest) will evaluate with Sara if some of her contacts could come to the exhibit.
      • Livia (VIRGO) suggests to contact KAGRA, the Kamiokande Gravitational Waves Detector.
      • Claire (ATLAS) reports that the contacts with the ATLAS-Japan representatives were very smooth and encouraging. She is looking forward this trip :-)

Quick news from ongoing projects 10m

Michael reports on the Sarajevo events, which were the second step of the ORIGIN South-East Europe tour https://originnetwork.web.cern.ch/content/origin-south-east-europe. Due to lack of time we will come back to the subject in a later meeting.
