Discussion about final FEL parameters and cost estimate of the CompactLight undulator system, as requested by WP2 and WP7.
H. M. C. Castaneda shows his results on scanning the undulator parameters in order to have Soft X-rays FEL schemes compliant with the proposed Variable Polarisation and Multicolour operations. F. Nguyen and G. Dattoli argue that perhaps the undulator gap could be too large, in some of the presented cases.
T. Schmidt presents the tables of the undulator cost matrix, for each technology. G. Dattoli suggests to add also a line specifying a guess cost/meter. G. Dattoli comments to consider also effects such as bunch charge, divergence, wakefield and other possible sources having impact on the undulator time duration. F. Nguyen answers that most of these effects will be carefully considered in developing the undulator risk model.
L. Zhang presents the update on the microwave undulator developments. Upon explicit question, L. Zhang clarifies that the CST Eigenmode Solver is used.
Final comments from J. Gethmann on progress in helical tape mode undulators and HTS structures and from R. Geometrante on the difficulties with out-of-vacuum undulators featuring a gap of about 3 mm.
