The workshop will take place in the Gastdozentenhaus (Guest House & Conference Centre), at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Campus South, Engsesser Street 3, 76131 Karlsruhe.
The Gastdozentenhaus is situated in a central location between the campus of the KIT and the castle of Karlsruhe. Hence, it provides an ideal surrounding for work, life and Relaxation.
Directions by car
Take motorway A5 to Karlsruhe and leave the A5 at the exit 44 (Karlsruhe-Durlach). Continue along B 10 / Durlacher Allee towards the city center until you arrive at Durlacher Tor, where you take a right turn. The next possible exit to the left is the main entrance of the KIT. The KIT is well signed once you have reached the city center.
The direct access to the Gastdozentenhaus (GDH), Engesser Street 3, is through the main entrance of the KIT Campus South. Guests of the GDH also need a one-day access permit for the Campus South, which you can pick up at the KIT registration desk (on the ground floor of the library, building 30.51).
You will find parking spaces (free of charge) directly in front of the Gastdozentenhaus.
Alternative parking possibilities:
There are parking facilities near the GDH. The closest is the Schlossplatz car park in the Schlossplatzstraße, and is open 24 hours/day. Other parking possibilities can be found in the car park at the Kronenplatz in the Fritz-Erler-Straße. These two car parks are within 10 minutes walking distance from the GDH.
Directions by train
The closest tram station to the Gastdozentenhaus is at “Kronenplatz” in the Fritz-Erler-Straße/ Kaiserstraße. From Karlsruhe main station you can take the tram lines 2, S1, S11, S4, S41 and S5 to Kronenplatz.
