Scientific Programme

The program of the event consists of presentations of the invited speakers in the format of "lectures", where the general concepts of monte carlo methods, radiation interactions with materials, concepts and strategies of object oriented programming are introduced to the development of simulations of the response of detectors and other materials (including biological systems) to the passage of ionizing radiation and charged particles. In addition, for each day of the event there will be "hands-on" sessions with exercises ranging from the most basic and conceptual examples to exercises of advanced applications. At the end of the event, participants are expected to be able to develop their own applications in their respective research projects.
