How to reach the ESRF

Tram line 'B' :

- serves Grenoble town center, including the bus and railway station. It allows easy access (even at night) from Grenoble town center to the ESRF.

- its terminus - 'Grenoble Presqu'île' - is situated just 350m from the site entrance.

Site Entrance

The EPN Campus is a restricted area and you will be asked to report in at the site entrance on arrival. You will need to produce proof of identification (passport or ID card ONLY) to enter (no 24h entry).

You will be given a workshop badge at the site entrance.  You will be asked to present it at the site entrance each time you wish to enter on site during the period of the workshop.

Please wear this badge on site over the whole period of the event.

Workshop

All presentations will take place in room MD-1-21.

Accommodation

The ESRF has negotiated rates for rooms in some of the hotels in Grenoble town center. To take advantage of these rates, participants should ask for the 'ESRF' rate, or, when specified, the 'CEA' rate.  Please provide proof of registration for DEELS 2019 when you do this.

Bike hire - Bikes can be hired from Metro Vélo at Grenoble railway station - a very convenient means of transport in Grenoble.

Shops and services - Shops, banks and postal services can be found in central Grenoble.  Please note that banks are closed on Saturday afternoons, Sundays and Mondays. 
 
Cinema - Timetables can be found in Allocine or in Le Petit Bulletin.  'La Nef" and 'Le Club' cinemas usually show films in native languages with subtitles.
 
Weather - June in Grenoble is usually sunny.
