To reach Guanajuato, one can fly to the International Airport of León, Guanajuato (BJX), and the city of Guanajuato is a 45 min. drive away from León. You can use Uber, taxi, to move from BJX airport to the city of Guanajuato. Costs with Uber range between 400 and 500 mexican pesos, and the taxi from the BJX airport is a fixed price of 550 mexican pesos.
If you are flying from the US or from Europe, there are many connecting flights from Dallas, TX (DFW), Houston, TX (IAH), Los Angeles (LAX) or from Chicago (MDW) to BJX. If a flight to León, Guanajuato is not feasible, you can fly to Guadalajara International Airport (GDL) or to Mexico City International Airport (MEX), and then take a bus to León, Guanajuato or to the city of Guanajuato directly, which can take around 5 hours.
If you have a connecting flight in the US, make sure to count with the proper travel documentation for US customs (ESTA or visa). Also verify your visa requirements for Mexico (people from the US, Canada, Japan, the UK, or countries from the Schengen space do not require any visa).
To reach the venue (Hotel Guanajuato), if you stay in downtown, we recommend the use of taxis (cost around 60-80 mexican pesos). Hotel Guanajuato is up a hill, so it can be physically challenging to reach by foot.
