Description
This Miniworkshop aims at reviewing the potentials for Precision QCD and Electroweak physics at a future possible LHeC electron proton collider. The topics covered are: - inclusive measurements, PDF fits, alpha_s, Large x physics, electroweak couplings, - charm and beauty production - single top production, - high pt jets, - final state physics with jets, prompt photons and other identified particles and the partonic photon structure. One major goal is to collect study results for the LHeC conceptional design report which is planned to be written and completed during this year. LHeC impact on PDF determination 30m
Abstract: "The HERA collider has provided high precision data which is nowadays essential to constrain the proton structure and has a very important impact for the LHC physics program. The LHeC offers the possibility of an enlarged kinematical range with higher luminosities, as well as the possibilit of colliding different species like deuterons. In this talk we examine, using as a baseline the NNPDF2.0 global parton analysis, the impact of LHeC pseudo-data in different scenarios in reducing the PDF uncertainties".
