The third workshop on “MCEGs for future ep and eA facilities” will take place at the Erwin-Schrödinger-Institute in Vienna, Austria. The workshop will start on November 20, 2019, after lunch and will end on November 22, 2019, in the early afternoon. The workshop series aims to discuss:
-
Requirements and R&D needs for Monte Carlo Event Generators (MCEGs) for electron-proton (ep) and electron-nucleus (eA) collision measurements
-
Roadmap for MCEG developments for upcoming ep and eA facilities
and will focus in November on MCEGs for eA processes at the Electron-Ion Collider (EIC). We will discuss both measurements with light and heavy ions.
The workshop is organized by scientists working on the EIC, E.-C. Aschenauer (BNL), A. Bressan (INFN, Trieste) and M. Diefenthaler (JLab), and scientists from the MCEG community, H. Jung (DESY) S. Plätzer (MCnet, Vienna) and S. Prestel (MCnet, Lund).
