Description

This is a joint theory and experimental LHCb workshop hold in Santiago de Compostela (Spain), to trigger a fruitful discussion and look for new opportunities at LHCb concerning STEALTH physics.

With STEALTH, we refer to signatures involving either small couplings, soft objects, or decays from new light resonances, all of these cases where the special features of LHCb can be particularly relevant, always bearing in mind that a BSM signal can easily carry more than one of these features. This includes, but is not limited to, dark sectors, ALPs, dark photons, Hidden Valley, light Higgses, light DM and in general BSM models with interesting signatures for LHCb not directly related to flavor physics. Provided that the current LHCb upgrade will be completed by the end of 2020, first months of the next year turn out to be the right time to organise such a workshop where all well-motivated models would be collected, and to plan the different search strategies before data is delivered again.

Santiago is a small and historic town in the northwest of Spain, being a UNESCO world-heritage site. Santiago has an airport providing relatively good connections within Europe, including several weekly flights to Geneva. Other close-by airports include Porto or Coruña. We plan to meet for three days, in a friendly atmosphere, trying to promote lively discussion.

We have now (27/05/2021) submitted an arxiv paper that encompasses the main conclusions from the workshop. You can find it here!
