CERN Access & Wifi

We would like to make you aware that visitors are requested to use Gate B only.

CERN Access Cards:

Late January,  you will receive a message (together with a link) informing you that CERN access card has been requested for you. Once you have given your personal data, you will receive a link which allows you to print out your CERN access card.

If you can not print this card, you can come to CERN's reception (building 33) (which working hours are from Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 17:45) or at the phone box near entrance B anytime. In order to print your access card, you should take with you the code that was sent along with the link.

You will be requested to show your passport or identity card to enter CERN premises.

Note, that you will be requested to present your access card every time you enter on the CERN site and must keep it visible on the CERN site.

Please note that, if you wish to use a portable computer at CERN with an Ethernet or wireless connection, it is mandatory to register at:

https://cern.ch/registerVisitorComputer.

*Remark - the Mac number is displayed at the back surface of your laptop and it is not related to the Apple laptops. In case you can't find the Mac number on the back of your laptop, please follow the below steps:

Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista:
  1. Click Windows Start or press the Windows key.
  2. In the search box, type cmd.
  3. Press the Enter key . A command window displays.
  4. Type ipconfig /all.
  5. Press Enter . A physical address displays for each adapter. The physical address is your device's MAC address.
