News on dry-run and test progress:

Next dry run foreseen for next week: ALPS in trajectory mode, turn-by-turn

NXCALS and PM/IQC - Filip

  • PM storage using NXCALS pipeline not meeting SPSQC requirements --> too slow
  • Separate storage --> oracle database. SPSQC separate from LHC XPOC/IQC
  • Event building: can several events be ongoing at the same time? Writing and reading of large data takes several seconds. (Action: Roman, Verena, Fabio, Markus, JC)
  • What are the changes in the analysis framework? Impact on CO/OP? (Action: Fabio, JC, Filip)
  • Can start SPSQC testing in March. Need DB first. 
  • Define date for first test: FBCT, servo spill, BLMs (Action: Markus, JC, Fabio, Verena)

RF dry run outcoem: generation 1

  • Verify algorithm for taking phase between 800 and 200 MHz into account for bucket  area calculation (Action: Kevin, Elena)
  • Voltage program generation: further discussion on constant bucket area until which point in cycle (Action: Kevin, Verena, Elena)
  • LQR gain updates for voltage trims? (Action: Kevin, Philip)
  • LQR Q,R parameters should be functions
  • Intensity effects and which synch tunes for long damper, blow-up, .. (Action: Philip, Kevin, Giulia, Elena)  
  • 800 MHz for SFTpro and ions? (Action: Elena, Ivan, Philip) counter-phasing at injection, transition crossing, ions with FFA how to switch 800 MHz on afterwards

Round Table

  • Week 12 RF dry run not ideal. Propose week 13. 
  • Ensure FGC readiness. Dry run foreseen week 14.
  • MD lists 2021: to be collected in emails.
