    CMS uses a worldwide distributed computing system built on top of grid technology to transfer, store, retrieve and process LHC collison data. The CMS worldwide distributed computing system will be described in terms of components and performance concerning data processing and Monte Carlo production during the first months of LHC collison data collection.
