Please check this page for updates. During the seminar, in case of technical issues, we will post information here. Thank you!

In collaboration with other European institutions and projects, CERN has launched a new research programme aimed at the development of a new generation of accelerators for hadron therapy, smaller and less expensive thanks to an extensive use of superconductivity and of other modern accelerator technologies. Starting from a review of the present status and perspectives of hadron therapy, the speaker will outline the main characteristics of a next-generation facility and introduce the proposal for a new European facility for cancer research and therapy with ion beams.
