    1. Comments on the previous meetings minutes.

    • Tony will follow up with Dave to see where he is with respect to wider distribution of the document.


    2. Contextualization

    • Andrea has succeeded in making an image that will boot with KVM or Xen HVM without any pre-boot modification.  To get a Xen para-virtualized kernel it must be selected manually from the grub config.
    • Since there is some desire to have Xen para-virt Andrea will look into a mechanism to make selection of this kernel automatic.
    • Tony asked about the performance characteristics of Xen HVM with virt i/o drivers. Andrea will attempt to look into the and report back.
    • There was discussion of of when images would be modified for contextualization. Several people expressed there preference for no modification prior to boot.
    • We agreed to suspend discussion of what happens after to boot until next week's meeting.
    • Sebastian will submit a proposal as to what must happen during contextualization.


    3. Image cataloging and distribution

    • Initial Django based 'straw man' version of VMIC installed at Oxford.
    • Owen did a screen sharing demo showing some of the features.
    • Owen needs to deploy the site with HTTPS and  and develop X.509 authentication.
    • Owen proposed that the distribution group has weekly meetings, that occur at 14:00 UTC Thursday.
