Instrumentation for bench F2 #2

Link would need at worth and roughly 14 channels * 9 cicuits

16 UQDS channels = 5000 CHF

1 DMM channel ~ 5000CHF

With respect to results of DEMO 2, noise and filtering study on DEMO 3 will confirm if UQDS (recording at 3kHz) can be used for splices measurements as compared to DMM (3Hz +200 ms integration time recording).

Protection will be UQDS for sure. Exact duplicated protection like in tunnel will probably be kept. Would be preferable to use double Vtaps like in LHC.

Current ripple of future power converters on F2 will need to be studied as well.

Concerning the patch/diversion box (we should give a name to it), model should be taken from what is existing/planned for LHC.

For deeper investigation if necessary, DMM system(s) should any way be available (mobile or fixed) on test bench (how many?).

Jerome - Jens will come with a detailed list/number of signals for UQDS.

Jerome, from outputs of DEMO3, will come with proposal using DMM or not for standard measurements.

We should then end up with deciding on the space allocation of the instrumentation racks for ScLink on bench F2.
