Description
The CERN Grey Book database holds information about all experiments at CERN, the collaborating institutes including their teams and the members of the team in the foundation database. Some LHC experiments including ATLAS keep their person database such that part of the information is duplicated between the two databases. To date there is no connection between the two databases. Data are entered independently and data consistency checks between the databases are at most performed manually. The purpose of the meeting between the Users' Office, the Grey Book database developers in GS-AIS and the relevant LHC experiment experts is to discuss possible connections between the databases in view of avoiding duplication of data entry and data inconsistencies. Subsequently, a collaboration for designing and implementing such connections is envisaged.
