PHYSTAT-Systematics:

  • A remote Workshop devoted to the way systematic uncertainties are incorporated in data analyses in Particle Physics
  • Three afternoons with four 30+10 minutes presentations/discussions/responses and two summary talks one week later, 10th November.  Thanks to to all contributors and also the session chairs!
  • How regular attendants can actively participate:
    • Write your questions or comments in the ZOOM chat box (and session chair may interrupt speaker and call you to speak up, or question will be dealt later with during the discussion)

An expanded discussion on the theme of the workshop and a list of possible topics to be discussed is provided here.

An illustrative sketch of typical measurements in particle physics and associated sources of systematic uncertainties can be found here.

The PHYSTAT series of Workshops started in 2000. They were the first meetings devoted solely to the statistical issues that occur in analyses in Particle Physics and neighbouring fields. The homepage of PHYSTAT with a list of all workshops and seminars is at https://espace.cern.ch/phystat.
