The social dinner reception will take place on Thursday Oct 6 at the Cowell courtyard (map) starting at 5:30pm, the courtyard is 5-10 minutes walk from the conference room.
For those who are interested, we plan to meet on Friday and Saturday evening at designated locations for informal socializing and introductions to the city by some of the local organizers, but dinner is likely going to be at everyone's own selection and cost. Possibilities include the Santa Cruz Wharf (the longest wooden wharf in the US), Cowell Beach and the Boardwalk, Pacific Avenue in Santa Cruz downtown, Yacht Harbor and Seabright Beach, Capitola Beach, etc.
