We have pre-booked a few rooms at the CERN Hostel, at the following rates:
- Single with bathroom: 58 CHF
- Twin room with bathroom: 77 CHF (2 x 38.5 CHF)
If you are interested in staying at the CERN campus, then select the corresponding option when registering.
There is also a wide choice of hotels in Geneva and Pays de Gex (France), which you can compare using your favourite hotel booking site. Prices tend to be relatively high and can range from 70 to 170 EUR (80-200 CHF) per night for a 2-3 or low end 4-star hotel.
Given that CERN is located right on the border between France and Switzerland, it may be worth getting a hotel in France (St. Genis, Thoiry, Prévessin, Ferney-Voltaire, ...). Otherwise, if you choose to stay in Geneva, be sure to pick a hotel with public transport close by. Tram line 18 goes from the centre of Geneva straight to CERN.
We advise you to book your accommodation as early as possible since occupancy tends to be high in the area, due to the presence of many international organizations. Prices will increase steadily as the date approaches.
