1. Introduction (J. Bernhard)
Restart of beam commissioning confirmed : 17-04.2023
Beam interlock test : 05-04.2023. During that day no one can access the zone but the work can continue (magnet and set-up can still run)
2- Water (A. Amamou)
20.02.2023 : Restart of the cooling tower --> raw water
22.02.2023 : Mixed water (18/22 deg C) available while waiting for chilled water
03.03.2023 : Chilled water availability
3- Cryogenics of the Morpurgo magnet (N. Guillotin)
YETS 2022/23 : Mandatory migration CPC5 to CPC6 for North Area Cryogenics Infrastructure including pistons process compressor dedicated to ATLAS H8 (Morpurgo), with development of a new process control of the helium compressors
20.02.2023 : Start of cryo circuit conditioning on process compressor side
22.02.2023 : Start of commissioning of the new process control of the compressor using mixed water
03.03.2023 : End of commissioning of the new process control of the compressor.
03 or 06.03.2023 : Effective cool down start with process compressor connected to the cold box and Magnet
27+/-1.03.2023 : Expected Cryo OK for the Morpurgo Magnet at 4.5K with Liquid Helium
28+/-1.03.2023 : Magnet can be ramp up at 1.6 T
The margin mainly stands in the way we could potentially take less time for the compressor process control commissioning
Set-up a team Nicolas / Bastien / Pascal to monitor the progresses of the cooldown and adjust the time MADMAX should be ready to take data.
4- CB100 tests (B. Majorovits)
Will use a much simpler DAQ system than last year consisting in a single network analyser with 90% dead time.
If 20 days at 1.6 T, could take 2 days of effective data taking, which give us a sensitivity slightly above the CAST limit (presently the world best limit) --> The earlier we start the better. Could run over Easter to end before beam commissioning 17.04.2023
SPSC meeting 07-08.02.2023. Waiting for the referees to contact us
In case of problem of data storage, TBs could be made available by CERN
5- G10 cryostat mechanical tests (D. Kriekemeyer / T. Koettig)
G10 cryostat to be delivered at MPI mid-Feb. Then send to CERN to be tested in the cryolab
Open points from last meeting (HE dewar transport, return line, ...) solved by the cryolab
Discussion to be organized by Maarten, to move the concrete block in February (inc. Michael Lazzaroni )
Note : Sylvain Girod is the TSO of the area
Cryolab is waiting for the MADMAX budget code
6- Safety (L. Rowland)
Meeting to be organized by Laura to understand the details of the test this year
7. Next steps
Next meeting: Will be organized after magnet cool down start (>=06.03.2023). A doodle will be send by Johannes to find a date
