There are plenty of hotels in the vicinity of CERN, in Switzerland (Meyrin or Geneva). There are also hotels on the French side but these are more complicated for transport.
As an official CERN visitor you are also eligible to stay on the CERN site in one of the CERN hotels. Details are at: https://sce-dep.web.cern.ch/cern-hotels
There are three hotels on the Meyrin site, easy walking distance to the main restaurant and also to the workshop venue. Booking one of them is easy from the website mentioned above. If you choose to do so, please fill in the Eligibility criteria for CERN status, reason, further details and CERN guarantor as shown in the image below. Please also fill your institute name, and send an email to david.barney@cern.ch to let him know that you have booked a room and Dave can help in case of any difficulties.
