Description
We have built a 100 m2 prototype stereoscopic water Cherenkov detector array (SWCDA) in the Tibet air-shower array in 2024, which will be used for gamma-ray astronomy observations in the 100 GeV-10 TeV energy range. In this paper, we describe the design of the Tibet stereoscopic water Cherenkov detector and detailed Monte Carlo simulations to demonstrate the performance and sensitivity of the high-altitude stereoscopic water Cherenkov detector.
