IIT Hyderabad & Getting there

The Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IIT Hyderabad) is an Institute of National Importance established by the Government of India in 2008 and has grown to become one of the premier institutes for science and engineering in the country.

Hyderabad is one of the eight largest cities in India and is the capital of the Telangana state. It is known as a centre for tourism with major sites such as the Golconda fort, Charminar monument and the old city of Hyderabad, Qutb Shahi Tombs, Salar Jung Museum, Hussainsagar lake (featuring a new lakefront park) and several others. Getting to Hyderabad: 
Hyderabad host an international airport (Rajiv Gandhi International Airport) that is well connected to various cities in India, Asia, Europe and North America. Hyderabad is also connected to other cities in India via train, the major train stations in Hyderabad are: Nampally (Hyderabad Deccan), Secunderabad junction and Kacheguda stations. Within the city, there is a metro system and an airport shuttle and cab service (airport connectivity details - prepaid taxi is suggested) that can be used for transport along with app based cab operators (Uber and Ola).

The IIT Hyderabad campus is located outside the main city. 
Taking a cab  is the best way to reach the campus, although other public transportation options also exist. If you are travelling from the airport please see airport connectivity details - prepaid taxi is suggested.
You can easily book a pre-paid cab to IIT Hyderabad from the airport or the railway station. The cab may cost around INR 1500-2000 depending on the time of day. You can also use public transport.

Special transport can be arranged to and fro from the airport for conference participants, please find the details in the Registration fees & Accommodation section. Transport arrangements from the airport have been made for those elgible/requesting, please check your emails for details.

Within the IIT Hyderabad Campus:
The stay is organised at the International Guest House (IGH), along with all the meals.
The conference talks will be held at the Convention Center (CC), which is a walking distance from the IGH.
There is an Isthara Food Court within walking distance of the Convention Center with outlets such as Subway etc.
