Accommodations

Seattle has a huge amount of hotel stock. Below find several options we've coordinated:

  • Hotels close to campus

Our light rail system means that hotels further afield are also accessible with a short trip. Along with AirBnB, of course.

Near Campus Hotels:

Book early - prices will go up quickly over the summer months. Costs as of writing this page were about $200 per night.

AirBnB:

You might find comfortable rooms or even boat house in the summer seashon. Make sure your institution will reimburse you for AirBnB. A number of places do not for insurance reasons. Pay attention on the additional cleaning and service rates. The total rates might not be more economic than hotels.

  • Search for the dates and downtown and university area.
  • North of the university is also possible, and accessible by bike (via the Burke-Gillman trail) as well as bus.
  • If you are willing to deal with a fairly brutal schedule, you can stay on one of the islands and use the ferry to get back and forth. But be warned that is at least one hour communte each way. The ferries do have good wifi… And the islands are amazing, so this option might be attractive for some.

I've had quite good luck with booking.com.
