Accommodation
We suggest all participants to reserve a room at the CERN's hotel in the Meyrin site using the dedicated website. For non-CERN users, we have pre-booked some rooms in the CERN hotel. When registering for the meeting, please specify if you would like to stay in the CERN hotel. You will then receive a separate email with all the instructions to book the room.
Please consider that if you book a room at the Saint Genis Pouilly Foyer you will have to reach CERN using public transport or the CERN shuttle (only for CERN users/NOT for Visitor cardholders)
For those unable to reserve a room at the CERN Hotel, we recommend finding accommodation in the Saint Genis Pouilly village or in the Meyrin village.
Please note that the accommodation must be reserved by individual participants and no special fares are foreseen.
Local transport
The CERN Meyrin site can be reached using the public transport.
Either using a bus from Saint Genis Pouilly (stop: CERN) or via tramway from Meyrin (stop: CERN).
Local transport tickets are available at the bus/tram stops using the vending machines or on-board using the vending machine close to the bus 2nd door using a credit card.
The tpg website can also be used for finding instruction on how to travel from/to:
- the airport:
- bus 57 (direction ZIMEYSA-gare) or 28 (direction Les Esserts) or 23 (direction Carouge-Tours) from the airport; exit at Blandonnet;
- walk up the stairs to the Blandonnet tram stop;
- tram 18 from Blandonnet, direction CERN, exit at CERN (last stop);
- the train station
- tram 18 from Gare Cornavin, direction CERN, exit at CERN (last stop);
Moving within CERN
For travelling within the CERN, you can refer to the CERN Maps website.
Please enter the room you are looking for in the format <building number>/<floor>-<3 digit room number>.
As an example, building 31, floor 3, room 4 will be 31/3-004.
The main entrance is located at 533/R-001.
Conference rooms will be accessible by walking from the main entrance.
