Who is eligible?
- To be eligible, you need to have a contract with CERN (everyone from staff, fellow, student, user, PART or external contractor is invited to apply).
- We have no upper or lower limits for age or career level so anyone can apply to be a mentor or mentee – we select mentor-mentee pairs on a case-by-case basis.
- Mentors can have multiple mentees and a mentee can be both a mentor and a mentee at the same time, if they wish to.
Timeline 2024
Registrations for the pilot round for our merged programme will open on Monday the 15th of April 2024 and will close on Wednesday the 15th of May.
We will contact you by the middle of June to let you know whether or not we have found a matching mentor or mentee for you. You will then be able to start meeting with your mentor or mentee whenever you both wish to!
A Kick-Off Meeting will be organised at the middle of June, providing you with more information on best practices in mentoring, various templates and prompts to help you kick off your mentoring relationship.
We ask for mentors and mentees to sign and send an agreement form after their first meeting, so that we know that they are both in agreement on what they expect from the programme (such as topics they are or are not willing to talk about, how often they can meet, etc…).
How to apply ?
The registration forms can be found here for mentors and here for mentees.
The form itself will likely take less than 5 minutes to complete.
We also ask that you attach your CV and cover letter.
We ask for this information to help us to find the most compatible mentor/mentee to help you to achieve your goals. We do this by manually looking through each application so the more information that you can provide, the better!
Details about how we will use, store and later delete your data can be found on this page.
