Description

Femtoscopic techniques provide unique insight into particle production mechanisms in hadronic collisions and into the interactions between short-lived hadrons. These measurements offer an indirect approach to hadron spectroscopy by constraining hadron–hadron interactions and possible bound or resonant states. The excellent momentum resolution of the LHCb detector makes it well suited for femtoscopic correlation studies. In addition, its vertex reconstruction and particle identification capabilities enable measurements involving both light and heavy hadrons. Recent results on femtoscopic correlations of light and heavy hadrons will be presented.
