Description
Jets produced in conjunction with heavy hadrons provide unique probes of the nonperturbative hadronization process. Heavy-flavor jets can be used to study the hadronization of heavy quarks into heavy-flavor hadrons. In addition, they can reveal how light hadrons are produced during heavy quark hadronization. These studies can be used to constrain the fragmentation functions that are used to parameterize the hadronization process. This talk presents recent studies of hadronization in heavy-flavor jets in pp collisions with the LHCb detector. These studies include measurements of hadronization to light- and heavy-flavor hadrons.
