Description

Jet measurement in heavy ion collision is an important probe of Quark Gluon Plasma. Measurement of the jet nuclear modification in PbPb compared to PbPb collision can provide the insight into the jet quenching effect in Quark gluon plasma. In addition, the measurement of the jet spectra reconstructed using different distance parameter are of great interest to study the sensitivity of hadronization effect compared to the observables involving individual final state hadrons enabling to study the underlying jet quenching mechanism and the QGP properties. The nuclear modification factor in PbPb collision at 5.02 TeV was measured previously using CMS data (JHEP 05 (2021) 284) and the strong suppression was observed in the central collision for all jet area. Although the measurements were consistent with different theoretical model, systematic uncertainties were very large in previous measurements. In this talk, we will present the result for inclusive jet nuclear modification factor for PbPb extending the measurement to Run3 with CMS detector with larger data sets.
