Description

Jet reconstruction in A+A collisions is challenging due to high particle multiplicities and energy loss from jet-medium interactions. Conventional reconstruction methods are often limited in efficiency, particularly for low-momentum jets. Wavelet-based approaches provide an event-by-event multiscale decomposition that separates localized jet-like structures from diffuse background while preserving correlations across length scales. In this research, we present a performance evaluation of wavelet-based jet reconstruction in p+p and A+A collisions, focusing on reconstruction accuracy, background sensitivity, robustness across momentum scales, and implications for low-momentum jet measurements in heavy-ion environments.
