There will be a reception on Monday evening, right after the end of the workshop. It will be held at the Fred Jones Fine Arts museum on campus corner -- https://www.ou.edu/fjjma -- https://www.google.com/maps/place/Fred+Jones+Jr.+Museum+of+Art/@35.2107306,-97.4473889 -- and there will be a guided tour through the museum during the reception.

On Thursday evening, there will be a dinner at the Sam Noble Museum of Natural History, which is actually one of the best natural history museums in the country (also see the TripAdvisor link below)!

Opened to the public on May 1, 2000, the Sam Noble Museum at the University of Oklahoma is one of the finest natural history museums in the world. 50,000 square feet of exhibit space trace over 500 million years of Oklahoma's natural and cultural history. Founded in 1899, the museum collections include 10 million specimens and artifacts from the life sciences, earth sciences and social sciences and are reflected in the wonderfully rich and informative permanent exhibit galleries.

Again, depending on attendance, we should be able to get access to some of the museum's exhibits during and after dinner.

It is on the south west corner of campus, and within easy walking distance from the workshop venue.

There are plenty of restaurants on campus corner, in downtown, and close to the highway (and most hotels). Many are listed on the pages above, and you can find them on Google, TripAdvisor, Yelp, etc.

There is also a brand new world-class planetarium at the OKC Science Museum (in Oklahoma City):
