It is the policy of the XQCD Conference that all participants, including attendees, speakers, session conveners, award recipients, volunteers, staff, contractors and all other stakeholders of the meeting, will conduct themselves in a professional manner contributing to the advancement of science. Creating a constructive environment to enable respectful exchanges is the responsibility of all participants, which excludes any form of discrimination, harassment or retaliation.
All stakeholders of the meeting have to:
- Respect and value differences.
- Treat others with tact, courtesy and respect.
- Abstain from and actively discourage discrimination in all forms.
- Avoid offending others by exercising restraint, and are aware that statements or actions not intended to be offensive to another person may be perceived as such.
- Refrain from unpleasant or disparaging remarks or actions, in particular, based on sex, age, religion, beliefs, nationality, culture, ethnicity, race, sexual orientation, status, disability, family situation or any other characteristics protected by anti-discrimination laws.
Unprofessional conduct includes inappropriate behaviour during the conference sessions as well as outside the session rooms on the conference site. Sustained disruption of talks or other events, insisting on repeating negative comments, insisting that other people respond to a question or to a request to comment on something when they do not wish to do so, inappropriate or intimidating behaviour and language, unwelcome jokes or comments, unwanted touching or attention, offensive images, photography without permission, stalking and any kind of other behaviour related to matters of this conference, that disturbs participants, convenors or organizers, before, after and during the conference is considered harassing behaviour.
Violations of this Code of Conduct policy should be immediately reported to meeting organizers. Sanctions against participants engaged in harassing behaviour, may range from verbal warning, ejection from the meeting without refund, withdrawal of financial support provided, to notifying appropriate authorities. Retaliation for complaints of inappropriate conduct will not be tolerated.

Statement regarding the Russian war against Ukraine
The XQCD 2025 Organizing Committee strongly condemns the illegal and brutal war inflicted by Russia on the people of Ukraine. In response, and in solidarity with the people of Ukraine, the XQCD 2025 Conference will not accept registrations or contributions from participants affiliated with institutes from the Russian Federation and Belarus. Scientists employed by these institutions may only participate in the conference activities as private persons.
