Welcome to the eighteenth workshop of the TAU series, devoted to physics of the τ lepton and the τ neutrino. The goal of the workshop is to bring theorists and experimentalists together to discuss recent progress in τ-lepton physics. New results in the field from the heavy-flavour experiments, including the LHC and B-factories, will be presented, as well as recent results from neutrino experiments and other facilities. The programme will also include properties of tau leptons, lepton universality and lepton flavor violation, precision electroweak physics, QCD, CP violation, and electromagnetic dipole moments. Review of current results and future opportunities will be discussed.
