Venue
The workshop will consist of two parts: a morning & an evening kick-off meeting followed by 4 days of hands-on workshop. The kick-off session will take place at the Ecole de Physique of the University of Geneva. The workshop session will take place in Ayent, Valais. The details of both locations are below.
Venue Kick-off
The morning session will be in the Stückelberg Auditorium of the Ecole de Physique, University of Geneva.

It is advisable to stay in the Geneva region the evening before the kick-off. Accommodation for this night is included in the available budget for fully funded participants.
After lunch, we will move to the Alps and continue there (described as follows).
Venue Workshop
The active part of the workshop will take place in the village of Ayent, Valais in Switzerland. We have rented four large chalets in the village. The largest one (Chalet ①) is called "Mayen2003" and will be used for daily work.

The other three chalets are within walking distance of each other, while they are 6.5 km from the Chalet ① (we will assign a driver & a car to each of them).

During the evenings, we will do self-catering in the main chalet, all participants are expected to contribute to the food preparation & cleaning.
Transport to the accommodation to and from Geneva will be organized, we will all leave together on Monday after lunch and return to Geneva on Friday in the afternoon. For those aiming to leave on Friday evening, please estimate that we will arrive back in Geneva at around 16:00, so that you can plan your departure (flights departure at around 18:00 should be good). For those who plan to have a few private days elsewhere in Switzerland, please feel free to arrange your own travel plan on Friday as you wish.
The Ayent area is ideal for hiking and skiing, while the views from the booked chalets are nice enough for those who don't feel like walking. Some images of the accommodation are below.
