Chlates in the Swiss Alps ( Feb 10-14):
The accommodation in the Alps is fixed for everyone, so you don't need to worry about that. We have booked 3 chalets located in Ayent, Valais. The pictures of the chalets can be found in the next section Conference Venue.
Due to limited room availability in the Alps, some PhD students/postdocs will be sharing rooms (2 in one room). As it is, we will compensate those who share rooms with other benefits (e.g., more drinks, doge emoji).
Hotels in Geneva (Feb 8-10 and/or 14-15)
Using the funding available we can cover the costs for hotels up to 150 CHF per night. This might sound like a lot but in Geneva, it isn't. So we suggest you book that as soon as you get your travel paperwork done. We have the list below of hotels which are within the budget and which are easily reachable from the University.
Additionally, you're of course free to search for something yourself (Geneva Town is small but public transportation is convenient, so even quite a few km is not a problem). Please keep the receipt such that we can reimburse you afterwards.
Mind that we can only cover one night’s stay in Geneva, either from the 9th to the 10th or from the 14th to the 15th, depending on your travel schedule. If you plan to stay both nights, you will unfortunately need to cover one of the nights at your own expense (unless you save your budget on airfare so that one extra night can be included).
