The workshop and Haqaton will use the Jupyterhub platform made available by CESGA, which we are so thankful to. Conexion will need a particular VPN setup which you must arrange ant test before coming to the classroom. Here are the instructions.
VPN Installation and Configuration
Installation:
- Install WireGuard VPN by following the installation instructions for you operating system at:
https://www.wireguard.com/install/#installation
(On Windows, simply download and install the client.)
Configuration:
- In the coming days, you will receive an email with your user password and a configuration text file. This file contains the server IP and the networks to connect to the Jupyterhub platform via the VPN.
- Open WireGuard and click the Add Tunnel button in the bottom left corner.
- Import the configuration file by selecting or pasting the contents from the text file.
- Click Activate to enable the VPN tunnel

Access to the sesions material
- With the VPN active, you can access the server via SSH. Open your terminal and run the following command (replace
curso9XX
with your username):ssh curso9XX@qmio.cesga.es
- You will be prompted to enter your password.
- Once logged in, navigate to your home directory
cd $HOME
In your home directory, locate the files named urlSesionname
(one for each session). Copy the URL from the appropriate file and paste it into your web browser to begin your session.
