Call for Abstracts

  • Opening day
  • Submission deadline

Authors are invited to submit papers describing original developments and new contributions in the workshop topic areas, as described in the overview and the scientific programme.

Manufacturers are welcome to submit abstracts on new, state of the art, electronic products or systems in the field of electronic technology for particle physics.

A CERN account is needed for the submission. If you do not have one, it can be created here.

Abstracts (max. 100 words long) and summaries (max. 500 words long) along an optional file containing diagrams or plots.

The summary will be the basis for paper selection. The summary should describe quantitative specifications of the work, challenges, implementation and results relevant to the topics of TWEPP. Standard summaries targeted to physics or detector instrumentation conferences might need to be updated accordingly.

Submissions without comprehensive summaries will not be considered. Abstract submissions must be made by the presenters themselves. Submissions by conference committees on behalf of speakers who will be nominated later are not accepted.

Each attendee may submit only one abstract/summary and present only once, either an oral or poster presentation. The presenter’s physical presence at TWEPP is mandatory.

Adherence to the following guidelines will be taken into account when selecting contributions:

  • Provide a description of the work’s specifications, including the
rationale behind them and the implementation challenges they pose.

  • Use quantitative statements and performance figures whenever
possible. Avoid vague descriptions, such as simply stating that a
parameter should be “high” or “low”.

  • Describe the work and its challenges or complexities in a way that
is accessible to scientists outside your field of expertise, rather
than writing as you would for an experiment collaboration note.

  • Explain the significance of your work and why it merits
presentation at a scientific or technical workshop.

  • Describe the challenges or difficulties encountered during the
implementation of the work and explain how they were addressed or, if
unresolved, why a solution was not possible.

  • Keep the introduction focused on information directly relevant to
the work described in the paper. Avoid repeating standard phrases
about the LHC luminosity upgrade unless they are directly connected
    to your research.

DEADLINE for submission 30 APRIL, 2025, 23:59 CET. No extension is foreseen.

Abstracts will be made available at the time of the workshop: these will include all papers selected for either oral or poster presentation. The proceedings of the workshop will be peer reviewed, available on the Web and published in JINST.
