TWEPP organises for a non-open access publication. Authors have the choice for an open access publication, but the cost for open-access option need to be covered by the author unless their institute has an agreement with JINST (CERN amongst others is one of them). When writing your contribution please take into account the following points:

Adherence to the following guidelines will be taken into account when reviewing proceedings:

 - Provide a description of the work’s specifications, including the rationale behind them and the implementation challenges they pose.

 - Use quantitative statements and performance figures whenever possible. Avoid vague descriptions, such as simply stating that a parameter should be “high” or “low”.

 - Describe the work and its challenges or complexities in a way that is accessible to scientists outside your field of expertise, rather than writing as you would for an experiment collaboration note.

 - Explain the significance of your work and why it merits a presentation at a scientific or technical workshop.

 - Describe the challenges or difficulties encountered during the implementation of the work and explain how they were addressed or, if unresolved, why a solution was not possible.

 - Keep the introduction focused on information directly relevant to the work described in the paper. Avoid repeating standard phrases about the LHC luminosity upgrade unless they are directly connected to your research.

- Check the quality of formatting, language and style (i.e. incoherent use of unit of measure; different conventions used in the same paper such as abbreviations \3 s", \3 sec", \3 seconds" and position: \3C", \3 C"; poorly organized tables; etc.)

A more complete set of guidelines can be found here: https://indico.cern.ch/event/1019078/attachments/2282637/3932216/TWEPP_paper_guidelines.pdf
