The Krakow International Airport (KRK) is Poland’s second busiest after Warsaw and may receive nearly eight million passengers a year. Krakow’s John Paul II International Airport has regular direct air connections from and to major European hubs such as: Amsterdam, Berlin, Brussels, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, London, Paris, Rome, and Vienna, Barcelona, Belfast, Bergen, Bologna, Cork, Dortmund, Dublin, Edinburgh, Eindhoven, Leeds, Lyon, Milan, Munich, Oslo, Stockholm, Stuttgart, Trondheim, as well as Warsaw (at least 5 flights a day) and other cities. Krakow Airport is situated conveniently on the outskirts of Krakow, 15 km west of the city center, by the A4 expressway to Silesia province.
One can easily get from Krakow Airport to Krakow city by a shuttle train, a taxi, or public bus lines.
- To the AGH Campus, taking a taxi from the airport is the fastest (approx. 20 min) and most comfortable way.
- To center of city and very close to the Old Town, train is very fast (approx. 20 min) every 30 minutes. The adult fare (‘normal’) is 17.00 PLN (approximately 4 EUR).
- Public bus line 300 will get you relatively close (~1km) to the AGH (in 30+ min, get off on Jubilat stop), but since line 300 runs once per hour and serves local passengers on its route, buses are full at times. Single adult ticket is 6.00 PLN (approximately 1.50 EUR).

By train
The biggest railway station in Krakow is the Main Train Station (Dworzec Główny). It is situated close to the Old Town. Krakow has direct railway connections with Poland’s largest cities, as well as with various European capital cities. There are fast train connections with Warsaw (Poland’s capital city) every 1 – 2 hours. The trains are modern, comfortable and the journey takes just 2.5 hour. Tickets can be bought online. The prices from/to Warsaw, one-way, second class, with the fastest train cost around 170 PLN (approximately 40.00 EUR).
