People are the key to successful software. The HSF-India project aims to promote the development of international research software collaborations. This is the sixth in a series of workshops for software and data analysis skills essential for doing research software in physics. Our curriculum builds upon the successful series of workshops.
This workshop covers
- Scientific Python
- Parallel programming and GPUs
- Basics of machine learning
- Real-time triggering software
This event is organized primarily for PhD students and masters students from the surrounding region. However, anyone is welcome to attend.
This workshop will be held from June 15 to 21, 2025. The first two days of the workshop will be an introduction to high-energy physics data concepts for data scientists. The following five days will be focused on research software topics primarily of interest to those working on experimental aspects of high-energy physics, nuclear physics and particle astrophysics.
Registration will soon. Applications for one or both parts of the workshop are encouraged. We expect to accommodate about 50 students. Feel free to contact us in case of questions.
In the case that we can not accept all applications, preference will be given to PhD students from the surrounding region who are engaged in programs for high-energy physics, nuclear physics, astroparticle physics and data science pursuits.
