Description
The Science4Peace Forum was created on the wake of the war against Ukraine, focusing on its impact on our colleague scientists from Ukraine, Russia and Bielorussia, and underscoring the science-for-peace principle of free scientific exchange in the field of non-military research. The Forum has then expanded its discussions to the resurgent pressure on civilian scientists to engage in military research, to the horror of nuclear weapons, and in general to issues where scientists can contribute to limit threats to a peaceful world. The Forum documents on-line its frequent zoom-based seminars or discussion panels, and has produced several arXiv articles, petitions and press releases, regularly endorsed by several Nobel-prize winners.
We will present here an overview of S4P activities, with emphasis on discussions relevant to particle physics.
