Description
We investigate dark matter effective theories and flavor-changing neutral current (FCNC) phenomena to derive model-independent limits on New Physics connecting both phenomena. This is the first direct study of FCNC processes in the context of freeze-in production. Our results suggest a novel pathway to probe feeble interactions between dark matter and Standard Model fermions. Specifically, we leverage the strong suppression of FCNCs in the Standard Model to identify these elusive signals as clear indicators of the dark sector containing dark matter.
