Description
Given the lack of evidence for particle dark matter, I introduce a model of non-particle dark matter.
Focusing on a four-dimensional braneworld embedded in a specific five-dimensional scalar–gravity spacetime, known as the linear dilaton background, I will show that this setup naturally gives rise to a pressureless cosmological fluid. I will argue that this fluid can play the role of the dark matter of our Universe. I will discuss recent developments, including freeze-in production, which admits a particularly simple geometric interpretation.
