Description
Although jet substructure provides a sensitive probe of partonic evolution within the Quark-Gluon Plasma, the role of medium fluctuations on these observables remains to be fully constrained. We investigate this effect by propagating the JEWEL parton shower through both event-by-event and averaged (2+1)D v-USPhydro hydrodynamic profiles with $\rm T_RENTo$ initial conditions, analysing the leading subjet fragmentation and jet angularities. Via a systematic study of parton-medium interactions, energy loss, and medium response at different stages of the hydrodynamic evolution, we quantify the sensitivity of these observables to microscopic details of the medium in contrast to vacuum-like emissions.
