Description
I will present the design, methodology, contents and main objectives of our Niñas Atómicas initiative, a scientific workshop for high-school girls that has taken place since 2022 under the scope of SAPHIR Millenium Institute. I will show ongoing interdisciplinary research results from the 2024 and 2025 editions of the workshop, focusing on the participants’ perceived learning after completing the workshop. I will also comment on the design of an instrument we created in order to measure the workshop’s impact on the girls’ motivation towards science, transversal scientific skills, and their choice of educational track. I will comment on early findings from the application of this instrument.
