Description

We present the results of a correlation analysis between cosmic ray intensities and cloud coverage, focusing on regions that exhibit the largest changes in cosmic ray intensities during geomagnetic storms. Meteorological data were obtained from the ECMWF model and EUMETSAT satellite observations. The cosmic ray intensities at the top of the atmosphere on a global scale are presented and validated in a separate contribution to this conference. The analysis covers the period 2011–2019, during which daily cosmic ray proton and helium spectra from the AMS-02 experiment were available.
