Description

The Dark Matter Particle Explorer (DAMPE) is an ongoing spaceborne experiment for direct detection of cosmic rays. DAMPE’s deep calorimeter and large dataset, accumulated over more than 10 years of operation, place the mission at the forefront of high-energy galactic cosmic-ray physics. This has enabled the measurement of cosmic-ray fluxes up to the PeV scale, unveiling new features in both primary and secondary components, including a recently observed universal softening at a rigidity of around 15 TV. In addition to cosmic-ray flux measurements, DAMPE has set strong limits in indirect dark-matter searches, performed gamma-ray observations above the GeV scale, studied solar modulation effects through Forbush decreases, measured high-energy hadronic interaction cross sections, and carried out searches for physics beyond the Standard Model.
This contribution will present an overview of the mission’s major achievements together with the most recent results from ongoing analyses.
